This is a redo from yesterday. I changed the photos cuz I thought they were weird. After posting the “original” photos, I drove home unhappy… just not satisfied with it. I put a lot of time into thinking how I wanted the photos to appear and what type of story I wanted to tell, but i guess the execution just wasn’t there. O well… Here are the photos without anything extra added (other than a change in color).

72 mm… Like Father, Like Daughter

So, you know how i’m always going on and on about my dad’s old SLR camera? Well, I know everyone has been super curious to see what that camera looks like, so FINALLY! FINALLY you can all see!! Oh, you didn’t really care? My bad… :)
When Photography 100 started, it was the first time I actually examined my dad’s camera. It was over dinner when I my interest in trying to take the scratches off my dad’s 72mm filter flared. A light bulb then lit in my head and I exclaimed, “I ALREADY HAVE A 72 mm!! That’s the filter that was needed for my lens!” So, I swapped the filters out when I used my dad’s camera to shoot around!

I’ve always had a curiosity when it came to photography. When I was still a small gal, I would always see my dad with his camera. My dad thought I would just break his camera, so he always stashed it on the very top, top, top shelf of his closet. Maybe that just fueled my curiosity even further? X-number of years later, I have the same interest as my dad.

Like father, like daughter, indeed, except for the fact that his is Minolta and I’m a Canon gal!
