197 & 199

I’m not going to get into why I haven’t been updating.  Lets just move forward, ok?

I took a mini trip to New York last week. It was great! I stayed with my friend, Katie and her wonderful family in Long Island. On Friday, we decided to try a place called “Cheeburger Cheeburger”. You’ll probably see a post of what we ate tomorrow. This is Katie.

197“Dear Tom”

I can’t remember if she was texting her cheerful boyfriend, Tom, but that’s what I want the image to portray. :) I want everyone to know just how fantastic and sensational Katie is. She is kind, caring, a loving daughter and older sister and a great friend to me. I haven’t seen her in about 5 years, but thanks to modern technology (i.e. Facebook), we were able to stay in touch. I am glad for that. I feel blessed to consider her my friend, my pal and like a little sister to me. :) OMG! Let me tell you guys something! She is GORGEOUS! Tall and skinny! She’ll probably end up becoming a model sooner or later. She invited me to New York. Thank you, dear.

199“In New York, concrete jungles where dreams are made of,
there’s nothing you can’t do…” Empire State of Mind

Okay, listen.
I understand the image isn’t that clear and you can definitely tell that I stitched images together to create THIS.  The Empire State Building was supposed to be the center of the photo, but… well, it didn’t work out, ok? Remember- my 365 Days Project is not only about MY journey (meaning travels) but also about the journey I am undergoing in order to (one day) take better photos. That means i’m allowed to have busted up photos on here once in a while, alright?

One day, when i truly get the hang of my camera, I will go back to the same spot and take this again. I PROMISE YOU ALL THIS- IT WILL BE BETTER!
BTW, i think this photo would have definitely come out better if i remembered to bring my wide angle lens. Sigh… As i approached LAX, i realized I didn’t pack it. I don’t even know what happened! It was next to my macro, and i didn’t pick it up and put it in my bag. Sigh…

After a fun day of walking around in the city, we visited Katie’s cousin, Ate Lisa at her Long Island apartment. I was sooo in love with her place. She is in walking distance of the Long Island Pier and cool restaurants. We walked about 2 minutes to get to the pier. Ate Lisa’s husband, Matt provided me with a tripod and gave me pointers on how to shoot photos for stitching.  THANK YOU, MATT! I wanna live a life like Ate Lisa!

So guess what! Tomorrow i’m going to post another photo to add to my 365 Days Project. But it’ll be a back entry for Day 196.
